Coneybeare’s namesake, Ross Coneybeare, was a self-made businessman renowned for his kind nature. Legend has it that little baby chicks would follow him around, attracted to his gentle temperament. Empathy and caring about people still define the core of who we are. Ross Coneybeare’s daughter, Rachel May, founded Coneybeare in 1986. Like her father, Rachel May was a bold, serial entrepreneur and owned two other staffing firms prior to Coneybeare. Rachel May turned the business over to her daughter, Victoria Betancourt, in 1990. About the job
We are looking for a hungry Outside Sales Representative in the San Diego or Inland Empire area, to join our sales team and thriving family-and employee-owned building materials and lumber company! $130K – $150K total comp. with lucrative commissions. We also offer an excellent benefits package and a very generous ESOP program!
About the Role
- You should possess a hunter mentality and consistently prospect and pursue new business opportunities (i.e. acquire new customers, increase sales and cross-sell building materials to existing lumber customers)
- About 85% of time will be spent prospecting, being on the field, cold calling, face-to-face sales. 10%-15% of time will be dedicated to in store team meetings, one-on-ones, trainings, etc.
- Build and cultivate your own book of business
- Learn and master the company’s internal sales software
- Ideal candidates have sales experience in the concrete industry, targeting concrete subcontractors for residential or commercial projects, or similar industries (construction, rebar, building materials, lumber, etc.)
- Company sells hardware and lumber to contractors and DIY enthusiasts
Requirements
- 5-10 yr. Outside Sales experience
- Sales experience in Concrete industry or related industries (i.e. construction, hardware, building materials, rebar, etc.)
- An entrepreneurial spirit
- Hungry and incentivized by high earning potential commission structure
