Position: Operative – Central Area Mining

Shift Pattern:
- Day Shift:
Week 1: 7 am – 7 pm (Mon, Tue, Fri, Sat & Sun, Wed & Thurs off)
Week 2: 7 am – 7 pm (Wed & Thu, Mon, Tue, Fri, Sat & Sun off) - Night Shift:
Week 3: 7 pm – 7 am (Mon, Tue, Fri, Sat & Sun, Wed & Thurs off)
Week 4: 7 pm – 7 am (Wed & Thu, Mon, Tue, Fri, Sat & Sun off)
As a Pit Operative, you will support the site under Quarries Regulations 1999 legislation to meet required production targets while ensuring safety, environmental compliance, and cost efficiency. You will report to the Shift Captain and help ensure quality and tonnage targets are achieved.
Job Role and Responsibilities:
- Complete a full site induction, training, and support.
- Operate safely at all times and assist the shift team as needed.
- Operate washing monitors and Pit Control Room (Tardis).
- Provide support during blasting operations as a sentry, if required.
- Ensure all regulatory inspections are completed as necessary.
- Operate the Tank Site (with training).
Skills and Experience Required:
- Legally able to drive in the UK
- Strong EHS (Environmental, Health, and Safety) knowledge
- Eagerness to learn and take on more responsibility
