Your Role as an Inpatient Occupational Therapist

  • Provide high-quality, evidence-based care to help patients regain function or transition to the next level of care.
  • Develop individualized and timely treatment plans tailored to each patient’s specific needs.
  • Foster positive connections with patients, fellow clinicians, and interdisciplinary team members.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships within the hospital, collaborating with physicians, case managers, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an AOTA-accredited occupational therapy program.
  • Valid state licensure.
  • NBCOT registration.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
