As a Staff Occupational Therapist at Centre for Neuro Skills (CNS), you will play a vital role in helping individuals recover from acquired and traumatic brain injuries. Your expertise will directly contribute to patients regaining independence and improving their quality of life.
Key Responsibilities

Patient Assessments & Treatment Plans

Conduct comprehensive evaluations to identify key concerns and create tailored therapy programs.

Administer therapeutic exercises, such as range of motion therapy, and perform periodic assessments to refine treatment plans.

Carry out on-site evaluations related to home, workplace, power tool usage, and height safety considerations.

Documentation & Communication

Maintain accurate records and reports to track patient progress.

Collaborate with patients, families, insurers, and fellow therapists across different disciplines.

Coordinate with external medical professionals, including physiatrists, orthopedists, neurologists, and neuro-optometrists, when needed.

Program Oversight & Supervision
-
Stay informed on all ongoing patient therapy programs within the department.

Provide guidance and supervision to clinic aides and students, ensuring daily treatment plans are effectively executed.

Be available to offer advice or treatment support when required.

Specialized Therapeutic Interventions

Utilize various therapy techniques, including:

Sensory integration therapy

Neuromuscular and neurodevelopmental techniques

Oculomotor and visual perceptual therapies

Implement personalized interventions to optimize patient outcomes.

Work within a multidisciplinary team to ensure a well-rounded approach to patient rehabilitation.

Qualifications
-
Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Occupational Therapy (required).

Certification: National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT) (mandatory).

Licensing: Must hold a current state Occupational Therapy License or be license-eligible.

Preferred Experience:

Knowledge of sensory integration therapy.

Familiarity with neurodevelopment and visual system rehabilitation.

Compensation
-
Salary range: $78,000 – $95,000 per year.

Final compensation is determined based on experience, skill set, education, training, licensure, and certifications.
