About the Role

As an Inpatient Occupational Therapist, you will work one-on-one with hospitalized patients, helping them regain a sense of normalcy and independence through self-care management and Activities of Daily Living (ADLs). You will play a key role in educating patients, family members, and caregivers on strategies to support daily routines. This position offers the opportunity to collaborate with an interdisciplinary team, ensuring the highest quality, evidence-based care for patients.

Your Responsibilities as an Inpatient/Acute Care Occupational Therapist

  • Provide high-quality, evidence-based care to help patients regain function or transition to the next level of care
  • Develop individualized treatment plans in a timely manner based on each patient’s specific needs
  • Foster strong relationships with patients, fellow clinicians, and healthcare team members
  • Collaborate and build connections throughout the hospital, including with physicians, case management, nurses, and other healthcare professionals

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an AOTA-accredited occupational therapy program
  • State Licensure in occupational therapy
  • Registered with the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification from the American Heart Association
