    Occupational Therapist – Acute Burn Rehab (Full-Time, Cornell Campus)

    Join the compassionate team at NewYork-Presbyterian, where patients receive exceptional occupational therapy at the William Randolph Hearst Burn Center. In this specialized role, you’ll provide empathetic, high-quality care to burn survivors while working alongside a collaborative, patient-centered multidisciplinary team.

    At the William Randolph Hearst Burn Center, our therapists focus on maximizing functional and developmental outcomes, as well as supporting the social and psychological well-being of patients. Burn injuries are complex and require early skilled intervention, making this role ideal for professionals with specialized training in burn rehabilitation. You’ll evaluate, plan, and implement occupational therapy treatment programs for both adult and pediatric patients, utilizing techniques that address pain management, wound care, contracture prevention, and scar management.

    Schedule:

    • Full-time: Monday – Friday, 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM

    • Includes intermittent weekend and holiday coverage

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Minimum 3 years of acute burn care experience (ICU experience highly preferred)

    • Proficiency in splinting, casting, and scar assessment/management

    • Experience with early mobilization techniques

    • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment

    • National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT) Certification

    Required Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Therapy

    • New York State Occupational Therapist License (must obtain within one year of hire)

    • NYS Limited Permit (application submitted upon hire)

    • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) Certification
