Company Overview
MultiCare has deep roots in the Pacific Northwest, dating back to 1882 with the establishment of Tacoma’s first hospital.
Since then, we have evolved from a hospital-focused organization in Tacoma to become Washington’s largest community-based, locally governed health system.
Today, MultiCare’s expansive network includes over 300 primary, urgent, pediatric, and specialty care locations throughout Washington, Idaho, and Oregon, along with 13 hospitals. We proudly welcome patients from across the Pacific Northwest, supported by our dedicated team of over 20,000 employees, providers, and volunteers who are committed to caring for the communities we serve.
While our organization has grown and adapted over the years, our unwavering dedication to the health and wellness of the Pacific Northwest remains steadfast. Driven by our mission, vision, and values, we are continuously working to provide essential services and ensure accessible, high-quality care—both now and for generations to come.
