Job Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement solutions for new or updated technologies.
  • Manage and maintain data center switches, routers, and firewalls to ensure optimal performance and security.
  • Design and document comprehensive network infrastructure for data centers and branch locations, creating detailed drawings and diagrams and seeing projects through to operational readiness.
  • Provide support for network technologies, software, systems, and services, including monitoring for outages and performance issues.
  • Maintain configuration and version control of network devices to ensure consistency and reliability.
  • Coordinate with circuit vendors to resolve network outages promptly.
  • Mentor and develop the technical expertise of other engineers on the team.
  • Participate in the on-call rotation and respond to critical outages as needed.

Qualification

  • High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Information Technology preferred.
  • 7-10 years of experience supporting Cisco Networks preferred.
  • In-depth knowledge of routing protocols, including TCP/IP, VRFs, BGP, OSPF, VXLAN, EVPN, and GRE.
  • Strong experience with SD-WAN solutions and network devices, including switches, access points, and MX devices.
  • Proficient with data center equipment such as Cisco Nexus 9K, Catalysts, ISR, and ASR.
  • Advanced expertise in configuring, troubleshooting, and maintaining routers, switches, and firewalls for both branch and data center environments.
  • Cisco ACI experience is a plus.
  • Familiarity with F5 load balancers.
  • Experience with Azure VNETs and hybrid cloud connectivity.
