Primary Duties & Responsibilities
- Design, implement, secure, and support high-performance communication technologies and services across company sites, including Wide Area Networks (WANs) and Local Area Networks (LANs).
- Oversee and coordinate network support and implementation activities within the Asia-Pacific region, while actively contributing to global network operations.
- Develop, implement, and manage network technologies and infrastructure, ensuring continuous improvement and optimization across Coherent Corp.
- Establish, enforce, and promote network infrastructure standards to guarantee security, reliability, and seamless compatibility across all Coherent Corp. locations.
- Proactively plan and strategize for network expansion to support business growth and evolving technological needs.
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent work experience and expertise.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in network and telephony planning, design, and management within a global enterprise.
- Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) certification in routing and switching is required.
- Additional certifications in voice and/or security are preferred.
Skills & Qualifications
- Expert-level knowledge of networking and data communication protocols with experience in designing, implementing, and supporting converged networks for voice, data, video, and wireless access.
- Ability to adapt to emerging technologies, including converged infrastructure, software-defined networks (SDN), and application delivery solutions.
- Strong proficiency in dynamic network routing and switching, wireless networking, VoIP technologies, and video conferencing solutions.
- Hands-on experience with Cisco and Arista networking technologies, Check Point firewalls, Palo Alto security solutions, and F5 equipment is preferred.
- Proven vendor management expertise, with strong troubleshooting and communication skills for managing MPLS, telecom, and data service providers.
- Excellent customer service skills, including active listening, urgency, and enthusiasm when addressing user needs.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English, with the ability to interact effectively with end-users, IT professionals, and management.
- Demonstrated ability in network project planning and management, documentation, problem-solving, and workload prioritization.
