The Opportunity:
To lead and guide Field Sales team supporting in achievement of sales goals of each retailer by territory. The Director is responsible for overseeing brand sales, staff training and store relationships across North America. This person is highly strategic, ambitious & commercially savvy. They will work with cross-functional teams to provide feedback on a variety of topics including basic business, promotional activity, events & education materials based on competitive insights. The National Sales Director is expected to work directly with the field sales team and store staff, coaching and developing to optimize Byredo’s image and sales performance.

What you’ll get to do:
- Recruit, develop, and manage the Field Sales team through coaching, training, and leading by example
- Conduct regular market visits, providing feedback to ensure alignment with brand standards and reporting observations to management
- Support cross-team efforts in new store openings (Marketing, VM, Construction PM, etc.)
- Collaborate with Sell-in Team and Marketing to develop and implement regional sales strategies and programs
- Partner with Education and Marketing to organize and implement staff training
- Develop, coach, and mentor direct reports for leadership, optimizing store visits, and fostering retailer partnerships
- Build and maintain retail relationships with district/area managers
- Provide feedback on in-store staff performance and create career maps and succession plans
- Develop regional strategies, supporting the Field team in sales execution
- Facilitate account strategy discussions and identify investment opportunities to improve performance
- Ensure adherence to merchandising and brand identity standards
- Lead meetings to assess sell-through performance and explore improvement opportunities
- Review freelancer productivity and store rankings to enhance freelance door performance
- Conduct trend analysis, market research, and share findings with corporate leadership
- Analyze monthly, quarterly, and seasonal sales data (sell-in/sell-out)
- Manage budgets, staffing, freelance, travel, and expense (T&E) allocation
- Measure ROI on financial investments and provide insights on customer behavior for product and marketing innovations
- Provide weekly and holiday visual recaps and maintain updated field address and store lists
We’d love to meet you if you have:
- Bachelor’s degree (preferred) or equivalent experience (required)
- 10+ years in key account sell-out management in luxury market
- Experience in leadership role (coaching, developing and inspiring others)
- Forecasting, executing, and reporting skills
- Proven ability to negotiate and analytical
- Excellent sales skills proven by sales initiatives and results
- Hands-on leadership style with proven ability to manage teams remotely
- Solution-driven, detail-oriented, highly organized
- Enjoy and thrive in a fast-paced, always changing, always growing work environment
- Passionate self-starter and highly innovation and creative
- Computer literate and proficient using Microsoft Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Ability to travel at least 40% of the time
Compensation:
As required by New York State’s salary transparency law, effective November 2022, the expected base salary for this position ranges from $140,000.00 – $150,000.00. Various factors are considered when extending offers, such as relevant skillset, training, years of experience related to the current job description, education, and our organizational structure.
