Maintenance Technician – CBRE (Allentown, PA)

CBRE seeks a Maintenance Technician for its Global Workplace Solutions (GWS) team in Allentown, PA. This role involves complex preventive maintenance and corrective repair of buildings, systems, equipment, vehicles, and grounds across multiple sites within a region. Extensive regional travel is required.

About the Role:

Working under limited supervision, the Maintenance Technician performs a variety of maintenance and repair tasks, requiring flexibility in scheduling.

What You’ll Do:

  • Perform day-to-day repairs, emergency maintenance, and preventive maintenance, maintaining records.
  • Review work orders, estimate time and materials, order supplies, and use CMMS.
  • Troubleshoot and repair building systems (plumbing, kitchen equipment, roofs, drains, HVAC/R).
  • Inspect new installations for code compliance.
  • Inspect building systems (fire alarms, HVAC/R, plumbing).
  • Oversee and inspect contractor work.
  • Maintain building lighting systems.
  • Maintain grounds (raking, sweeping, leaf blowing, snow removal).
  • Perform furniture assembly and locksmith tasks.
  • Respond to emergencies.
  • Report daily work activity via PDA.

What You’ll Need:

  • High school diploma or GED and 4+ years of related experience/trade school training.
  • Valid driver’s license and good driving record.
  • Ability to estimate repair time and materials and maintain inventory.
  • Ability to implement preventive maintenance programs and oversee repairs.
  • Ability to meet physical requirements (stooping, standing, walking, climbing, lifting 50+ lbs).
  • Ability to operate a full-size van/truck.
  • Licensure as required by AHJ.
  • Universal CFC certification (preferred).
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Computer/PDA proficiency.
  • Authorization to work in the U.S.
