Join Our Team as a Millwright Journeyperson – CNRL Horizon – Maintenance
Jardeg is hiring a Millwright Journeyperson – CNRL Horizon – Maintenance to support our maintenance team at the CNRL Horizon site near Fort McMurray, Alberta. This temporary role runs until December 31, 2025, offering a competitive base rate of $51.05/hr on a 7/7 rotation (12-hour shifts). All hours worked on the regular maintenance schedule are paid at straight time. Employees receive camp accommodations at Richardson Camp, featuring private washrooms and proximity to the worksite. Flights are provided from Calgary and Edmonton hubs.

Responsibilities of a Millwright Journeyperson – CNRL Horizon – Maintenance
- Read and interpret diagrams, schematics, and service manuals
- Operate rigging equipment and dollies for machinery placement
- Install, align, and test mechanical components like gears, shafts, motors, and couplings
- Perform predictive and operational maintenance tasks
- Repair or replace defective machine components
- Service hydraulic and pneumatic systems
- Conduct minor welding and fabrication work as needed
Qualifications
- Certified Millwright Journeyperson (valid trade certification)
- Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to work at heights
- Commitment to safety and industry regulations
Minimum Requirements
- Pre-Access Drug and Alcohol Test (mandatory)
- Common Safety Orientation (CSO) or CSTS-09 certification
- Confined Space Entry & Monitor (Energy Safety Canada Certified)
- Fall Arrest/Fall Protection certification
- Aerial Work Platform & Basic Rigging certification
- Valid government-issued identification
