About the Role
The Medical Assistant II plays a crucial role in supporting healthcare providers by delivering administrative, clinical, and technical assistance. This position involves patient preparation, assisting with medical procedures, and ensuring a seamless care experience.
Key Responsibilities

Prepare patient records and exam rooms before appointments

Greet and room patients, record vital signs, and update medical history

Assist providers with exams, procedures, and patient communication

Perform basic nursing tasks, injections, phlebotomy, and specimen collection

Maintain a clean, organized, and safe clinical environment

Manage medical supplies and assist with administrative duties

Ensure compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, and CLIA regulations

Support telehealth services, including virtual patient interactions
Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent

Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program

One year of clinical assisting experience (primary care preferred)

Proficiency in lab testing, order processing, and specimen handling

Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association
