Purpose:
Provide safe, effective, and culturally competent patient care under practitioner supervision while supporting clinic operations and participating in quality improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:

Assist in patient care, ensuring a high standard of safety and efficiency

Provide clerical support for clinic operations

Participate in quality monitoring and performance improvement

Collaborate with healthcare professionals, patients, families, and external agencies
Qualifications:

Education: High school diploma + up to 1 year of additional coursework in Medical Assisting

Training: Basic Life Support (required), ICD, CPT, and immunization best practices (preferred)

Certification: Certified or Registered Medical Assistant (within 12 months)

Experience: 1+ year required

Skills: Strong communication, computer proficiency, and ability to handle moderately complex situations
Working Conditions:

Some exposure to health and safety risks (≤35% of workday)

Possible exposure to bloodborne pathogens

Requires safety precautions
Compensation: $18.25 – $27.37 per hour (based on experience, qualifications, and location)
