Equity Staffing Group is currently staffing a Medical Assistant for on-site work in Lebanon, IL. This is contract work with a Fortune 100 organization. Position: Medical Assistant
Location: Lebanon, IN 46052
Duration: 6 Month contract to start, potential of extension and/or conversion to FTE.
Rate: $22.00/Hr
Start Date: ASAP
Specific Duties:
1. Prepare examination rooms and sterilizing equipment
2. Room patients, obtain health history, check vital signs and perform EKG’s
3. Administer injections and collect specimen
4. Document patient care using NextGen electronic medical record software
5. Schedule appointments, complete prior authorizations, process medication refills, handle referrals, answer calls and complete paperwork
6. Assist physicians and nurse practitioners with minor, in-office procedures
Must have qualifications/experience:
1. High School Diploma or GED
2. Medical Assistant Diploma
3. 1+ Year Recent Primary Care Experience
4. 1+ Year Recent Phlebotomy Experience
5. 1+ Year Recent Medication Administration Experience (Vaccinations)
6. Ability to commute to the office location.
7. Must obtain certification prior to conversion
