As a Mechanical Technician – Plumbing, you will utilize your expertise to maintain buildings, industrial systems, and essential equipment through routine preventive maintenance and necessary repairs. Responsibilities of a Mechanical Technician – Plumbing
- Perform ongoing preventive maintenance on facility mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
- Assist with modifications and improvements of building systems.
- Review and complete assigned work orders, estimating time and materials required.
- Support energy efficiency by optimizing system operations.
- Maintain an organized inventory of parts, tools, and essential repair materials.
- Inspect installations for compliance with safety regulations and building codes.
- Follow established procedures to resolve routine maintenance issues effectively.
Skills & Requirements
- Education: High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 1-2 years of relevant experience. Equivalent education and experience will be considered.
- Physical Ability: Ability to stoop, stand, walk, climb stairs/ladders, and lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
- Organizational Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities with an inquisitive mindset.
- Communication: Ability to exchange straightforward information effectively.
