Essential Functions & Key Responsibilities
Plumbing Installation & Repair
- Design, install, and maintain plumbing systems, including water supply, drainage, gas lines, and HVAC piping.
- Diagnose and resolve plumbing issues such as leaks, clogs, and malfunctioning components.
Code Compliance
- Ensure all work adheres to local, state, and federal plumbing codes and safety regulations.
- Obtain necessary permits and complete required inspections.
Equipment & Material Management
- Select and procure appropriate materials, tools, and equipment for projects.
- Maintain inventory and ensure tools and machinery function properly.
Client Support
- Collaborate with clients, contractors, and stakeholders to assess project needs and establish timelines.
- Provide cost estimates and detailed reports on plumbing issues and solutions.
Troubleshooting
- Identify and analyze complex plumbing problems, implementing effective solutions.
Qualifications
- Valid Master Plumber License required.
- High school diploma or GED; trade school or apprenticeship completion preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of plumbing experience with a track record of leadership.
- Comprehensive knowledge of plumbing systems, blueprints, and technical drawings.
- Strong understanding of local, state, and national plumbing codes.
- Proficiency in plumbing tools, equipment, and software.
Physical Requirements & Work Environment
- Ability to sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl as needed.
- Frequently lift and/or move up to 10 lbs. and occasionally up to 50 lbs.
- Regular exposure to construction sites, varying weather conditions, and potentially hazardous materials.
