Description

As part of the sales and marketing team the Sector and Services Marketing Manager will be responsible for generating work-winning opportunities through ongoing profile raising and multi-channel campaigns, aligned to designated business sectors and/or services nationwide. This role will be aligned to specific sectors and services but these may change in line with business need and market opportunity.

Overview of role:

This is a varied role which requires great collaboration as well as facilitation and coordination across all UK offices and awareness of RLB’s sector and service capability across our global regions.

You will become immersed in the sectors and/or services that you are allocated to, will seek to understand growth scenarios and trends within these and will look for opportunities to cross sell, between both your own areas as well as across sectors and services that are supported by colleagues in our wider Service and Sector team. Your role will cover PR and Marketing event opportunities relevant to your sector and services nationwide and you will be expected to manage RLB’s presence, profile and budgets throughout all activities.

You will work closely with your allocated national Sector and/or Service Leads to identify prospects and qualify and segment existing clients and their needs, generating relevant campaigns focused on client solutions and generate awareness of our wide range of capabilities.

You will qualify marketing generated leads for the technical teams to convert and will be responsible for maintaining the quality and relevance of data within the CRM – Microsoft Dynamics.

Key Responsibilities

    • Identify prospective clients or growth areas in conjunction with sector and/or service leads
    • Set up meetings to further new business opportunities with prospects as appropriate
    • Design, develop and manage lead generating campaigns and strategies and work with other service/sector marketing managers to identify opportunities for wider cross-selling opportunities and sales and marketing solutions
    • Identify sector/service strengths and success stories in line with ‘client-needs’ intelligence to write and deliver solution-focused messages
    • Write and deliver key RLB messages through appropriate channels by target audience as agreed with our Brand & Comms team
    • Inform sector and/or services of client intelligence gained through campaigns
    • Identify suitable Award opportunities and work with the Brand & Comms team on submission
    • Support the Brand & Comms team with social media requirements including website and social media posts
    • Support organisation of trade events, conferences and networking opportunities
    • Support the bid team as required during bid submission
    • Develop collateral within brand guideline templates
    • Work with our bid team to pre-position RLB ahead of key bidding opportunities
    • Write and publish success stories and sector news on Connect for internal awareness and cross-selling opportunities
    • Support with production of reports and market data
    • Manage marketing budgets and deliver solutions that are cost effective and that provide strong ROI through effective lead generation

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

Success in this position will require a dynamic individual with high energy and motivation. Critical requirements include experience within the property and/or construction industry, a good understanding of lead-generation marketing tactics and audience segmentation.

The successful candidate will have:

    • Experience of working in a marketing role in a construction, property or engineering consultancy environment
    • Bachelor’s degree in marketing and / or CIM diploma – or significant relevant experience
    • Exceptional writing and editing skills with the ability to present key messages in concise copy. Experience of sector or service marketing within the property/ construction/ engineering sectors would be advantageous
    • A high level of attention to detail with initiative, commitment, and flexibility
    • Motivated and highly proactive and goal orientated
    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and be confident in dealing with people at all levels
    • Proficiency in Powerpoint, Photoshop and Indesign. Adobe InDesign skills would be an advantage
  • Experience of using a CRM system
