About the job

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of raw materials, components, and supplies.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and implement inventory control measures to prevent shortages or excess stock.
  • Analyze inventory levels and forecast future material needs to support production schedules.
  • Collaborate with production managers to develop production plans and schedules based on material availability and production capacity.
  • Monitor production progress and adjust schedules as necessary to meet delivery deadlines.
  • Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments, including scheduling pickups, preparing shipping documentation, and tracking shipments to ensure on-time delivery.
  • Inspect received materials for quality and accuracy, and resolve any discrepancies with suppliers.
  • Oversee the organization and maintenance of warehouse facilities, including optimizing layout for efficient storage and retrieval.
  • Coordinate with internal teams to ensure timely movement of materials and products between production areas and warehouses.
  • Arrange transportation for outgoing shipments, selecting the most cost-effective and reliable carriers.
  • Negotiate freight rates and contracts with carriers to minimize transportation costs while maintaining service levels.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in logistics coordination within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong understanding of supply chain principles, including procurement, inventory management, and distribution.
  • Proficiency in logistics software and systems, such as ERP and WMS.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on continuous improvement.
  • Detail-oriented and highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
