Join OGT as a Logistics and Distribution Lead
OGT, a global leader in clinical and diagnostic genomic solutions, is seeking a Logistics and Distribution Lead to join our Cambridge-based Operations team. We specialize in innovative products that empower clinicians and researchers in delivering personalized healthcare and precision medicine. In this role, you will oversee the efficient and compliant export of diagnostic devices to international markets, managing the production of over 400 catalog products and 600+ bespoke products, contributing to an annual output of £12 million.
Key Responsibilities of Logistics and Distribution Lead
Export Documentation & Compliance
- Prepare and review commercial invoices, packing lists, certificates of origin, and customs declarations.
- Ensure all documentation aligns with international trade regulations and market-specific requirements.
Packaging & Shipping Coordination
- Work with internal teams and packaging suppliers to ensure compliant product labeling, language, and materials for each market.
- Arrange timely, cost-effective shipments and coordinate with couriers and freight forwarders for smooth customs clearance.
Stakeholder Communication & Record Keeping
- Serve as the primary contact for export inquiries, including customers, distributors, regulatory agencies, and logistics partners.
- Maintain well-organized records of all export transactions and regulatory compliance documentation.
Process Improvement & Quality Control
- Identify opportunities to optimize export processes and implement best practices.
- Conduct quality checks to ensure the accuracy and completeness of documentation and packaging.
What We’re Looking for in a Logistics and Distribution Lead
Essential:
- 2+ years of export administration experience, ideally in medical devices or pharmaceuticals.
- Strong knowledge of international trade regulations and customs procedures.
- Experience with packaging regulations and labeling compliance.
- High attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.
Desirable:
- Bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field.
- Familiarity with electronic Quality Management Systems (eQMS).
- Understanding of international medical device distribution.
