Lodge at Marconi Line Cook – Now hiring for PM shift line cook support!

We are in need of a skilled chef to join our team, proficient in a variety of cooking methods such as poaching, braising, roasting, charbroiling, sautéing, grilling, frying, and baking. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that each dish is prepared to our exact recipes and meets our guests’ expectations. We are looking for someone with excellent time management skills and a collaborative approach to support our kitchen staff and maintain a smooth and efficient operation.

Compensation

$25+ hourly DOE

Responsibilities

  • Consistently providing quality food preparation and service
  • Providing speed, accuracy, and efficiency in a fast-paced environment
  • Cleaning and maintaining kitchen, prep and dish areas, and equipment
  • Understanding and proper use of recipes and kitchen equipment
  • Flexibility in executing varying events and seasonal menus
  • Maintaining Health Department cleanliness and safety standards
  • Adhere to established storage and waste control standards for meats, vegetables, fruits, and dairy products to ensure quality food is served
  • Cook food orders at stations by following established recipes and presentation standards for grilling, broiling, and sautéing menu items
  • Keep all workstations, counters, cooking equipment, and refrigerators clean and sanitary according to health and safety rules
  • Set up cooking stations and fill them with all of the essential preparation items for a shift
  • Demonstrate a professional and pleasant demeanor when interacting with visitors, vendors, and associates

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of cooking experience
  • Fine-dining experience preferred
  • Clear and polite communication skills with a positive attitude
  • Ability to operate necessary kitchen equipment
  • Candidates must be hardworking, detail-oriented, and have a strong work ethic
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent GED certification
  • Must be able to meet all safety and sanitation requirements of kitchen equipment and food storage
  • Hospitality experience preferred
  • Must have or able to obtain CA Food Handlers Card within 30 days of hire
  • Must be eligible to work in the USA
