Responsibilities

WHAT YOU’LL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR IN THIS ROLE

The Lift Truck Operator II operates electrically powered industrial truck equipment to push, pull, lift, stack, tier, or move products/materials within the Warehouse, CPG, and Natural Ingredients departments in a safe and efficient manner. Responsible for proficiency in all warehouse functions which include but not limited to production areas, all Bolthouse products and system consolidation.

  • Conduct daily inspections on assigned equipment which may include but not limited to stand-up, sit down, high reach, quad-mast, pallet jacks, or double pallet jack equipment
  • Complete and maintain quality, inventory and preventative maintenance documentation
  • Direct, identify and track materials using radio frequency scanning equipment as it is moved
  • Physically rotate materials to ensure proper aging
  • Utilize Warehouse Management System (WMS) to relocate materials to the proper department for utilization
  • Unload, transport, and store all incoming materials/finished goods using WMS
  • Maintain work area in an organized and clean manner ensuring safety and adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs)
  • Adhere to and support company regulations and policies
  • Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

  • High School/GED or one to two years’ experience in related field or combination of both education and experience
  • Forklift Certification

  • Ability to read and interpret safety, operating, and maintenance documents
  • Ability to accurately write routine reports and simple correspondence
  • Comfortable working in a fast paced, high pressure environment
  • Pro-active mindset with the ability to apply common sense and good judgment under minimal supervision
  • Must be able to work as a team and follow instructions
  • Confident learning and using the equipment and tools used to perform the job
  • Possess basic mathematical skills (such as adding and subtracting)
  • Ability to maintain all productivity standards

Preferred Qualifications

  • Six to nine months of related electrically powered stand-up, sit-down, high reach, quad-mast, pallet jacks, or double pallet jack equipment experience, with a solid safety record
  • Previous experience using a warehouse management system which includes RF scan guns, VMU units, and handheld RF units
  • One to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Prior exposure to manufacturing desired, preferably the food or beverage industry with knowledge of GMPs
  • Knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems WMS

Physical Demands

  • Environmental exposure – cold/wet conditions (40 ° or below) ; will work in the warehouse building as well as ALL facilities (indoor and outdoor).
  • Material exposure – moving mechanical parts
  • Occasional exposure to fumes, airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals
  • Ability to lift, push, pull, and/or carry between 50 to 55 lbs.
  • Ability to ascend and descend ladders, scaffolding, using 3-point contact on a regular basi s when assigned to perform work duties in the Main Shipping area.
  • Ability to use hands and arms to grasp, manipulate, and handle scanning objects in one position or in a repetitive motion for an extended period of time .
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time
