Brighton Met College, part of the Chichester College Group, is seeking an exceptional Lecturer to join their team, with Pathway Lead responsibility for the highly successful and internationally renowned Level 3 Foundation Diploma in Illustration.
This part-time role offers 22.2 hours per week with a pro-rata salary between £26,716 and £41,659 per annum, based on experience.
We are looking for an outstanding creative practitioner with the skills and passion to teach Illustration using both traditional and digital mediums. The ideal candidate will have a first-class degree or master’s in Illustration and ideally be an experienced practitioner in the arts. Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite and experience with the UALab specification would be highly beneficial.
This is a diverse and rewarding role, where the successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining high standards of teaching and learning, supporting internal quality reviews, and working with a team of industry-trained specialist sessional lecturers. You will lead one of our largest cohorts, with over 50 students annually, and have the opportunity to shape the future of the Illustration Pathway.
Our Post A-Level, Foundation Diploma provision has an outstanding reputation, with the majority of students progressing to top universities. This role offers a rare chance to lead and make a significant impact on the Illustration pathway.
Key Requirements:
- Experience in teaching Level 3 Foundation Diploma
- Course or pathway leadership experience (preferred)
- Ability to deliver outstanding lessons in Illustration
- Strong communication and leadership skills
