As a Learning & Development Specialist I, you will deliver CCS learning programs and workshops to employees and managers. Monitor learning effectiveness through performance results. Collect learner feedback for future improvements. Contribute to designing new learning programs and enhancing existing ones. Help develop learning plans and training aids. May specialize in a specific subject, learning program or company function.

 

The successful candidate will report directly to the Director, Learning & Development. The position location is flexible, but the placement must be willing to travel as needed.

Essential Duties

  • Identify Learning Needs: Conduct learning needs assessments to figure out the skills and knowledge gaps of employees.
  • Design Learning Programs: Develop engaging and effective learning materials and programs tailored to the organization’s needs.
  • Deliver Learning Solutions: Facilitate learning sessions, workshops, and seminars using various methods (e.g., in-person, virtual, e-learning). Ensuing and interactive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Evaluate Learning Effectiveness: Assess the impact of learning programs through feedback, performance metrics, and continuous improvement.
  • Collaborates: Works with subject matter experts to ensure content accuracy and relevance.
  • Stay Updated: Keep abreast of new learning methods, technologies, and best practices to ensure the learning programs still are current and effective.
  • Assists with organizational communications via Yammer, Teams, and other media to ensure employees have knowledge of training and development events and resources
  • Maintains record of all staff training and engagement
  • Exemplifies the desired culture and philosophies of the organization
  • Maintains regular, predictable, consistent attendance and is flexible to meet the needs of the department
  • Always maintains a high degree of confidentiality due to access to sensitive information

Position Requirements

  • 1-3 years of experience in training facilitation, employee learning and development or a similar role
  • Education – bachelor’s degree in education or equivalent combination of education and/or experience
  • Certifications in training, instructional design, or related areas are beneficial
  • Solid planning, organization, and time-management skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Passion for collaboration and high accountability
  • Understanding of adult learning principles and instructional design techniques
  • Analytical skills to assess learning needs and evaluate program effectiveness
  • Proficiency in e-learning authoring tools and learning management system
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
  • Strong organizational and project management skills
  • Knowledge of adult learning principles and methodologies
