As a Learning and Engagement Education Officer, you will play a vital part in creating unforgettable learning experiences for our visitors. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work with a diverse team at one of the UK’s leading zoological attractions.

The Learning and Engagement Education Officer will coordinate and deliver educational programs, workshops, and presentations, helping visitors of all ages gain a deeper understanding of animal behavior, conservation, and sustainability. You will be an ambassador for Blackpool Zoo’s commitment to conservation and wildlife education.

Key Responsibilities of the Learning and Engagement Education Officer:

• Coordinate and deliver educational talks, workshops, and animal interactions for visitors.

• Ensure programs are relevant, inspiring, and aligned with school curricula.

• Assist in the promotion and delivery of the Keeper Academy courses and learning programs.

• Collaborate with the Animal Interaction Coordinator to enhance animal engagement.

• Represent Blackpool Zoo at conferences and other public-facing events.

• Develop and assess educational content to ensure accuracy and quality.

Qualifications and Requirements for Learning and Engagement Education Officer:

• Relevant education experience, with a strong background in natural history and conservation.

• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage and inspire diverse audiences.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong commitment to customer service.

• Proficient in using Microsoft Office for reports, presentations, and communication.

• Passion for wildlife, education, and environmental sustainability.

• Ability to adapt to changing demands and work well under pressure.
