Lead Software Engineer with strong serverless AWS and JavaScript/TypeScript skills required for a thriving automation company in the insurtech space who are continuing to scale.

We are looking for an experienced Lead Software Engineer with a strong modern JavaScript stack skill set. The environment comprises a Node.js/Typescript Back End and a React/TypeScript Front End, all hosted on a cloud-native, serverless AWS estate. This is a product development environment with a scaling company who have recently secured another strong round of investment.

You might be a strong Senior Software Engineer who mentors, a Lead Software Engineer, a Staff Engineer or perhaps a Tech Lead with the responsibility of helping the team grow and develop over time.

Lead Software Engineer role requirements:

  • Extensive serverless AWS experience is essential.
  • You should come from a JavaScript setting, with primary skills in TypeScript, Node.js and React
  • Client facing skills
  • Bonus points if you come from either a startup/scaleup setting, or a regulated environment such as insurance/insurtech, finance/fintech… or both!
  • This would suit someone who is really looking to turbocharge their career as this presents an excellent opportunity for ongoing development.
