Your communication is clear and strategic, and you possess a strong understanding of how design contributes to business objectives.
About the Role:
As the Lead Designer for the graphic design team, you will be crucial in shaping the visual direction of goop’s brand. You will oversee the team’s daily operations, guaranteeing all projects adhere to goop’s brand standards, and inspire the team to push creative boundaries. You’ll partner closely with senior leadership and other departments to create compelling visual content across various verticals and channels. This leadership role involves managing design processes, prioritizing projects, and mentoring designers.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and oversee the graphic design team to produce high-quality, on-brand creative assets for marketing and product initiatives.
- Manage the day-to-day design workflow, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (marketing, product, editorial) to execute brand campaigns and initiatives.
- Cultivate a collaborative, inclusive, and creative team culture that fosters innovation.
- Guide and mentor designers, providing constructive feedback and supporting their professional development.
- Stay informed about design trends and industry developments to continuously elevate goop’s visual identity.
Qualifications & Experience:
- 7+ years of graphic design experience, including experience leading, managing, and inspiring a team.
- Strong portfolio showcasing exceptional design skills across multiple platforms (digital, print, and branding).
- Expertise in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, etc.) and proficiency in web design tools and software.
- Deep understanding of goop’s aesthetic and the ability to adapt and innovate within the brand’s voice.
- Experience managing multiple projects with competing deadlines while maintaining design quality.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to present ideas and collaborate with diverse teams.
