THE ROLE
As a Lead Data Scientist, you will shape and advance the organization’s AI and Machine Learning strategy, transforming creative concepts into practical solutions that influence business operations. Leading a team of data scientists, you will promote the use of sophisticated analytical methods and ensure data-driven insights are seamlessly integrated to optimize decision-making throughout the organization.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
- Strategic Vision: Establish best practices and guidelines for AI and ML while uncovering new opportunities to generate tangible business value.
- Model Creation & Implementation: Develop, deploy, and maintain machine learning models, including tasks like feature engineering, validation, and scaling for performance.
- Operational Alignment: Convert business challenges into analytical solutions and integrate insights into workflows to enhance efficiency and inform decisions.
- Innovation & Advancement: Monitor emerging trends in data science, leveraging cutting-edge tools and methods to strengthen the organization’s analytical expertise.
- Leadership & Development: Guide and support a team of data scientists, delivering exceptional results and cultivating a mindset of innovation and growth.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
Required Qualifications:
- Advanced degree (Master’s or PhD) in Computer Science, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, or a related discipline.
- 5–7 years of experience in data science, with proficiency in Python or R, machine learning frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or scikit-learn, and SQL.
- Deep expertise in supervised and unsupervised learning, optimization methods, and statistical analysis techniques.
- Strong experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP, and tools such as Databricks or Spark.
- Comprehensive understanding of the machine learning lifecycle, including model training, deployment, monitoring, and refinement.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Practical experience with CI/CD pipelines, adherence to programming best practices, and the creation of scalable, reusable solutions.
- Proven ability to manage the full lifecycle of analytics use cases and integrate solutions seamlessly into operational workflows.
