Paving Crew Laborer – Western Kentucky Construction Crew
Rogers Group, Inc. is currently hiring a Paving Crew Laborer to join our Western Kentucky Construction crew, based in Hopkinsville, KY, and serving the surrounding region. This role involves site preparation, asphalt finishing, and participation in various construction projects, which may require extended hours, including some nights and weekends.
Job Responsibilities:
- Perform general manual labor tasks on-site, including grading and asphalt work.
- Direct trucks and suppliers while managing job site tickets.
- Operate heavy equipment, such as skid steers or backhoes, when needed.
- Conduct daily pre- and post-equipment inspections, ensuring compliance with company policies.
- Perform routine servicing and maintenance of equipment as instructed.
- Communicate effectively to ensure smooth operations.
- Operate equipment with skill, precision, and efficiency.
- Follow all company policies and adhere to OSHA, MSHA, and environmental safety regulations.
Qualifications:
- Strong commitment to workplace safety.
- 1-2 years of experience in construction is preferred.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality.
- Ability to perform general labor and site clean-up as required.
- Willingness to learn and train on new grading and asphalt equipment.
- Flexibility to assist in other tasks and areas as needed.
- Ability to work in a team-oriented environment and support coworkers as required.
- Willingness to work overtime and extended hours when necessary.
- Must pass a pre-employment drug screening.
- Valid documentation for I-9 employment verification.
- A clean motor vehicle record and a valid driver’s license are required.
