Location: Lancaster – Fully On-Site (Driving License & Own Vehicle Required)
Salary: Up to £35,000 + Expenses

Key Responsibilities of an IT Support Engineer

Comprehensive IT Support & Infrastructure Maintenance

  • Install, configure, and maintain IT equipment, including desktops, laptops, iPads, and servers
  • Provide first, second, and third-line support, resolving technical issues
  • Assist with network setup, maintenance, and security (Windows Server & Active Directory)
  • Deliver responsive customer support to staff and students

Collaboration & Continuous Improvement

  • Work closely with the IT team to enhance service delivery
  • Keep up with emerging technologies and IT best practices
  • Ensure compliance with safeguarding and child protection policies (training provided)

Skills & Experience Required

What Makes a Great IT Support Engineer?

  • Previous experience in IT support, ideally within an educational environment (preferred)
  • Strong hardware, software, and networking troubleshooting skills
  • Familiarity with school IT infrastructure, operating systems, and peripherals
  • Excellent communication skills to explain technical concepts to non-technical users
  • A relevant IT qualification or industry certification (e.g., CompTIA, Microsoft)

Additional Requirements:
 Must have a personal vehicle for travel between schools (mileage covered)
 Must pass an Enhanced DBS Check (provided by employer)
