The Inventory Control Specialist is a key player in optimizing inventory levels to support efficient supply chain operations. Responsibilities
Supply Chain Management
- Oversee the receipt and dispatch of goods, ensuring smooth coordination with couriers and suppliers.
- Maintain accurate and timely inventory records, including quarterly counts and adherence to materials transfer processes.
- Work closely with the Purchasing Specialist to resolve product discrepancies and ensure on-time order fulfillment.
Warehouse Operations
- Verify incoming goods and handle shipments with discrepancies or damages.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment.
- Ensure proper storage, handling, and tracking of all inventory.
- Accurately document and manage inventory records.
Administrative Tasks
- Match purchase orders with packing slips and update order details in ConnectWise.
- Maintain organized records, paperwork, and document filing in accordance with company standards.
- Coordinate material deliveries to job sites.
- Track and manage tools, cleaning supplies, and office supplies.
Compliance & Safety
- Follow all local, provincial, and company health & safety regulations.
- Stay informed about company policies and procedures.
- Maintain a professional and positive image of the company at all times.
Team Collaboration
- Work closely with team members to enhance overall warehouse and inventory operations.
- Foster a positive and team-oriented work environment.
Qualifications
- Strong coordination skills to effectively work with couriers and suppliers.
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and warehouse/inventory management systems.
- Strong organizational, time management, and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Capable of lifting 75-100 pounds.
- Preferred: 2-4 years of experience in a warehousing facility.
- Preferred: Experience in the physical security or low-voltage industry.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean record.
