The successful candidate will play a critical part in managing the organisation’s income streams, delivering accurate costing information, and supporting strategic decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the calculation, monitoring, and reporting of income, ensuring accurate recording and reconciliation of all income streams within financial systems.
  • Lead the implementation of the new financial system, SLAM, ensuring a seamless transition and operational efficiency.
  • Develop and maintain robust costing models to allocate costs effectively across departments and services.
  • Analyse and report on cost variations to identify potential efficiencies and drive value.
  • Prepare comprehensive financial reports and forecasts that align with organisational objectives.
  • Provide key financial insights and cost analyses to inform the development of business cases.
  • Support the annual budget-setting process with reliable and accurate income and costing data.

What We’re Looking For

  • Proven expertise in NHS finance, with significant experience in income management and costing.
  • Advanced knowledge and hands-on experience with the SLAM financial system is essential.
  • Strong understanding of NHS costing standards and proficiency in Excel for data analysis and financial modelling.
  • Demonstrates advanced technical skills alongside excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, with the capability to lead and inspire a team effectively.
