What You Will Do

As an HVAC Service Engineer in the North West, you will be the main point of contact for technical service issues. You’ll troubleshoot and resolve complex systems within specified timeframes, following a defined process, service agreements, and customer needs. This is a mobile role, primarily covering the North West, with occasional support in other UK locations.

What You Will Do

As the primary contact for technical service and maintenance issues on-site, you’ll be responsible for troubleshooting and resolving heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems in line with service agreements. You’ll also perform planned preventative maintenance (PPM) as per contract requirements, communicating findings and any further actions or recommendations for system improvements, upgrades, or optimizations.

You’ll keep customers updated on the services you provide, prepare detailed reports, and submit technical communications on your work. Safety will always be a priority in your role. While you often work independently, you will be part of a supportive team.

What We Look For

  • Recognized HVAC qualification (NVQ Level 2, 3, or equivalent)
  • Proven HVAC maintenance experience in the service engineer role, ideally within the air conditioning industry
  • F-GAS 2079 Cat 1 qualification
  • Service and breakdown experience
  • Familiarity with major HVAC manufacturers such as Daikin, Hitachi, Toshiba, and Mitsubishi Electric
  • Experience with DX, Split & VRV systems, fan coil units, panel coolers, small chillers, AHUs, and ventilation equipment
  • Electrical and controls experience to diagnose and resolve electrical and control issues
  • Ability to interpret and analyze technical documents such as electrical schemes, fluid schemes, piping diagrams, and psychometric diagrams
  • Capability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Positive attitude, strong attention to detail, and excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Flexibility and willingness to work as part of a team
  • Full UK driving license
