HR Manager | £40-£45k | London | Independent Prep School in North London

An exciting opportunity for a professional, organised HR Manager to join an independent prep school in London, which is part of a wider fast growing Education Group. The school provides a positive environment that inspires their pupils to become well rounded, confident and articulate individuals. You will play a key role in fostering a positive work environment and supporting the school’s mission. Working into a dynamic Head teacher with support from the wider HR team within the group.

This is a full-time, on-site role.

Responsibilities:

  • Recruitment & Onboarding: Manage recruitment, onboarding, and staffing needs.
  • Employee Relations: Act as first point of contact for HR issues, enhance employee engagement through the implementation of initiatives, and handle conflict resolution and disciplinaries.
  • People & Culture: Help foster a positive culture and strong communication, by example
  • Performance Management & Development: Coordinate staff development and provide performance management support and coaching.
  • HR Administration & Compliance: Maintain employee records, oversee contracts, and ensure legal compliance.
  • Policy Development & Implementation: Update HR policies and provide staff training.
  • Payroll & Benefits Administration: Ensure accurate payroll processing.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2 years of HR management experience, preferably in education or an organisation where you are familiar with DBS/Safe-Guarding.
  • Strong communication, organisational, and multitasking skills.
  • Familiarity with employment law and HR best practices.
  • CIPD Qualified (or similar)
  • Proficient in HRIS software and MS Office Suite.
  • Able to handle sensitive information discreetly.
