Main Purpose of the Job
- Perform duties efficiently and productively.
- Ensure adherence to the company’s Health and Safety policies.
- Complete routes in the most effective and timely manner.
- Drive safely and economically.
Main Tasks and Activities
- Interpret and follow relevant road traffic legislation where reasonably possible.
- Carry out duties in a professional, customer-focused manner.
- Accurately record daily activities using a tablet.
- Ensure all bins are weighed correctly.
- Maintain cleanliness at customer premises, ensuring bins are returned appropriately.
- Communicate effectively with the Administration team.
- Report any near misses or accidents promptly.
- Wear appropriate work-issued PPE at all times.
- Demonstrate flexibility by working on various routes as needed.
- Be available for weekend and bank holiday shifts when required.
- Undertake other reasonable tasks as required.
Skills and Experience
- Minimum HGV Class 2 license.
- Customer service experience.
- Knowledge of the waste industry.
- Understanding of tachograph legislation.
- Ability to operate (or willingness to be trained on) various vehicles such as Trade Waste, FEL, and Moffat.
