About the Role: Financial Reporting Accountant
Reporting to the Group Financial Reporting Director, you will provide support across our integrated finance team.
Your strong financial reporting skills will be essential as you contribute to UK and global compliance, including statutory audits, and assist with ad-hoc projects. Working at the Group level provides broad business exposure and requires close collaboration across the organization. Strong interpersonal skills and a desire to build relationships are essential. Excellent project management skills are also needed to ensure timely delivery of high-quality work.
Responsibilities:
- Support financial reporting, including statutory audits at both Group and subsidiary levels.
- Contribute to ad-hoc projects.
- Research and provide conclusions on technical accounting matters, including one-off queries, audit documentation, and accounting papers.
- Continuously identify opportunities to improve controls, implement changes, and strengthen financial controls across the Group.
- Develop project plans and utilize tracking tools to manage projects from planning to completion.
- Establish and maintain strong cross-functional relationships, regularly liaising with other teams to gather information and manage audit responsibilities.
- Liaise with the tax compliance and indirect tax teams.
- Serve as a point of contact for advisors and auditors.
Requirements:
- Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA) – Newly qualified candidates from practice are encouraged to apply.
- Solid understanding of accounting and auditing principles, with strong attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with diverse stakeholders across the business.
- A proactive approach to building strong professional networks.
- Financial reporting experience and familiarity with IFRS.
- Knowledge of financial controls frameworks is desirable.
- Strong reporting skills and the ability to present information clearly and concisely.
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong planning and organizational skills, with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
- A confident demeanor, comfortable interacting with key stakeholders.
