Key Responsibilities
- Assist senior engineers in engineering investigations and design support from conceptualization to project completion.
- Conduct geotechnical field investigations, select appropriate lab tests, analyze field and lab data, and contribute to geotechnical report development.
- Prepare proposals and cost estimates for geotechnical investigations and design projects.
- Perform fieldwork including construction observation, instrumentation installation and monitoring, and on-site inspections.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering with a geotechnical focus.
- Strong technical expertise across various geotechnical analysis and design disciplines.
- Flexibility to adjust schedules as needed to meet project deadlines and client expectations.
- Ability and willingness to travel frequently.
- Capability to lift and carry 30+ pounds of equipment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Strong communication skills (oral and written) and ability to work effectively with teams.
- Legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
- Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Geotechnical Engineering.
- 2+ years of experience in geotechnical design.
- Proficiency in geotechnical software, such as Geostudio, LPile, APile, gINT, or FLAC
