Key Responsibilities

The ideal candidate will:

  • Conduct geotechnical engineering analyses.
  • Prepare geotechnical reports.
  • Apply practical geotechnical and civil engineering principles to design solutions.
  • Assist in geotechnical field investigation and site characterization programs.
  • Provide geotechnical support during construction phases.
  • Participate in client meetings, presentations, and development of project scopes.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Master’s Degree in Geotechnical Engineering (advanced or specialized training may be considered in lieu of an M.S. degree).
  • Bachelor’s Degree required.
  • PE license preferred or passing scores on both the Fundamentals and Principles of Practice of Engineering exams required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong team-oriented mindset with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal staff, consultants, contractors, and clients.
  • Experience in slope stability analysis, including limit equilibrium, static liquefaction, and seismic deformation.
  • Familiarity with Rocscience geotechnical software suite.
  • Basic proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D is highly beneficial.
  • Prior experience in field explorations and construction site work is preferred.
  • Willingness to travel for temporary assignments, primarily across the western U.S.
