Job Opportunity: Bariatric & General Surgeon
We are seeking a skilled Bariatric and General Surgeon specializing in minimally invasive surgery and endoscopy to join our dynamic team. This role offers a 50/50 split between bariatric and general surgery, providing the opportunity to work in a collaborative, high-tech environment with excellent support and academic affiliations.
Position Highlights:
- Call Coverage:
- 1:4 Bariatric call rotation
- General Surgery call shared among 12 surgeons
- Call responsibility limited to the Primary Hospital (Approx. 2 weeknights & 1 weekend day per month)
- Hospital & Surgical Resources:
- 180-bed Primary Hospital with a Level III Trauma Center
- Strong referral base with 400+ network clinicians
- Comprehensive support team including PAs, surgical residents, and medical students
- Dedicated General Surgery Residency Program
- Affiliation with Columbia-Bassett Medical School (academic appointment available)
- Opportunities for ambulatory surgery, endoscopy, and clinic work at regional hospitals
- State-of-the-art operating rooms featuring two Xi DaVinci Robots with a teaching console
- EMR System: EPIC
Compensation & Benefits:
- Competitive Salary: $400K – $500K, based on experience, qualifications, and market standards
- Incentive-based earnings with no cap—high performers can significantly increase their compensation within the first year
- Sign-on Bonus: Up to $100,000

Job Requirements:
- Medical Degree (MD, DO, or MBBS)
- Fellowship in Minimally Invasive Surgery (MIS) / Bariatrics (Required)
- Board Eligible or Board Certified
- New York State Medical License (or eligibility)
- BLS, ACLS, and ATLS Certifications (Required)
