FD Recruit is working exclusively with this £8m t/o, growing engineering business to find a Financial Director to work closely with the MD as they continue to expand. This could be an excellent opportunity for an experience Financial Controller looking for their first FD role or an established FD used to managing a finance function in a similar sized business.
Duties will involve:
- Work closely with the MD to ensure smooth operation of all finance matters
- Oversee the work of the Finance Assistant
- Ensure timely financial reporting for the subsidiary and joint venture
- Provide commercial and financial business partnering support to the Managing Director including pricing, investment decisions and new business opportunities.
- Attend and report to the Board on all financial matters.
- Manage all financial processes including ensuring adequate documentation for ISO 9001
- Ensure good financial control
- Prepare cashflow forecasts and ensure cash availability for the business
- Prepare annual budgets and mid-year forecasts
- Oversee company banking arrangements
- Oversee relationships with company’s insurers, vehicle fleet providers, landlords, IT providers and payroll providers.
- Prepare month-end management accounts within the first week of the following month
- Oversee the year end audit process
- Work according to company Integrated Management System to help achieve Quality, H&S and Environmental objectives.
- Oversee the work of the HR Manager
