Due to an internal promotion, they seek a Financial Controller to lead financial reporting, budgeting, compliance, and stakeholder management across a diverse group structure. This role requires a proactive individual with strong communication skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Reporting and Analysis:

  • Prepare and present quarterly management reports and financial statements, ensuring compliance and providing key financial insights to senior stakeholders.

Budgeting and Forecasting:

  • Oversee group-level annual budgets, business plans, and forecasts, including profit and loss, balance sheet, and cash flow projections.

Tax and Regulatory Compliance:

  • Manage VAT submissions, corporate and income tax filings, and quarterly FCA reporting in collaboration with internal and external advisors.

Accounts and Cashflow Management:

  • Supervise accounts payable, maintain cash flow schedules, and manage banking relationships and fee income processes.

Year-End and Audit Coordination:

  • Prepare year-end financial statements and lead the external audit process to ensure timely and accurate delivery.

Payroll and Employee Reporting:

  • Oversee payroll processes, including annual forms and reporting submissions.

Stakeholder Management:

  • Act as the primary point of contact for outsourced service providers, including tax advisors, auditors, and legal counsel.

Team Leadership:

  • Mentor and support the professional development of the Financial Accountant.
