Essential Job Functions
- Prepare and maintain the company’s financial statements.
- Ensure accurate recording of all financial transactions.
- Reconcile fixed assets with the company’s general ledger.
- Manage accounting projects as required.
- Provide support to employees to ensure tasks are completed efficiently, accurately, and on time.
- Generate and analyze financial statements, reports, and data as needed.
- Participate in special projects as assigned.
- Assist in the insurance renewal process by gathering necessary documentation.
- Oversee cash flow management.
- Manage tax liabilities and prepare quarterly payroll returns.
- Process and track payments and expenditures for all accounts payable.
- Handle the full accounting cycle, including preparing and distributing monthly and quarterly financial statements.
- Prepare the adjusted annual trial balance and relevant documentation for annual financial statements.
- Oversee audits for Workers’ Compensation, General Liability, City, and other regulatory entities.
- Provide weekly reports, including Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable aging reports.
- Review and produce payroll reports alongside the CFO.
- Prepare audit schedules and coordinate with accounting staff to ensure auditors receive required information efficiently.
- Maintain audit scope within prescribed limits.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting and finance.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
- CPA or CMA certification preferred.
- In-depth knowledge of accounting principles and procedures.
- Experience in financial statement preparation.
- Proficiency in general ledger functions and month-end/year-end closing processes.
- Strong technical skills, including proficiency in Excel, QuickBooks, Microsoft Dynamics, and ERP systems.
