Key Responsibilities as the Financial Controller:
- Financial Reporting: Oversee accurate monthly management accounts, KPIs, and commercial reports
- Forecasting: Ensure rolling financial forecasts are timely and support business-critical decision-making
- Process Development: Create and maintain strong business processes and accounting policies
- Invoice Authorisation: Review and authorise purchase invoices
- Cash Flow Management: Track transactions and regularly review system reports for effective cash flow management
- Financial Controls: Responsible for governance including stock and fixed assets, with a focus on control review and improvement
- Financial Analysis: Conduct cost, pricing, and profitability analyses to drive cost optimisation and revenue enhancement
- Stock & WIP Management: Manage stock and work-in-progress
- Capital Expenditure (Capex): Review, plan, and schedule Capex to support growth and efficiency
- Cost Control:Implement and oversee cost control and reduction strategies
Experience and skills required as Financial Controller:
- Manufacturing/Engineering Background: Current experience in cost accounting principles within manufacturing or engineering sectors
- Track Record in Finance: Proven experience as a Financial Controller or someone ready to take the next step
- ERP System Knowledge: Extensive experience with ERP systems and highly IT/Systems literate
- Analytical Skills:Skilled at translating operational requirements into financial metrics
- Communication: Strong communicator with business acumen
- Attention to Detail: Natural problem-solver with high attention to detail.
