About the job

Our client, a listed Entertainment Business, is looking for a Finance Manager to join their growing finance team. As the Finance Manager, you’ll be reporting directly to the Head of Group Reporting and Accounting; you will play a key role in enhancing the visibility and accuracy of the financial and non-financial data while also managing and developing a high-performing team. The is based in London and is paying between 75K – 85K

The role has 3 core components:

  • Firstly, the individual would be responsible for the accounting and financial control over the group activity. This will include managing the audit, liaising with local finance teams and play a leading role in more complex areas of accounting (M&A/financing/disposals)
  • Secondly, the candidate will coordinate the Group Performance Management process: establishing budgets & forecasts, providing variance analysis, costs, cashflow and financial performance. This will include re-forecasts, business scenarios (modelling), price sensitivities and KPI Dashboarding.
  • Lastly, the candidate will sponsor and develop new projects to bring improvement and increased efficiency. This will include both process and system improvement, with a particular focus on automation/simplification.

Essential Skills:

  • Qualified ACA or equivalent with right to live and work in the UK
  • Proven experience in building high-performing teams
  • Strong management and financial reporting experience, especially in PLC financial statements preparation
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
  • Effective organisational and time management skills
  • Strong understanding of control requirements
  • Experience in improving financial processes and documentation
  • Proficient in consolidation systems, preferably Cognos Controller
  • Highly numerate and analytical
