Description
Our expanding Manhattan, NY office is seeking an Experienced Accountant to join our Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) department. We are looking for a highly organized professional who can effectively manage deadlines, handle multiple tasks simultaneously, and uphold the highest professional standards.
Responsibilities
- Manage bookkeeping and accounting for all business transactions, including cash, accounts receivable (A/R), accounts payable (A/P), and general journal entries.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements along with detailed reporting packages.
- Process sales and use tax returns in compliance with regulations.
- Administer payroll processing through online systems such as ADP, Paychex, and others.
- Ensure timely completion of projects and maintain clear internal communication regarding project status.
- Conduct technical research and collaborate with Managers/Partners for guidance.
- Advise clients and their foreign parent companies on accounting, payroll, and business administration matters in the U.S.
- Perform additional related duties as needed.
Desired Skills & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or higher.
- Strong interpersonal, oral, written, and presentation communication skills.
- At least 2 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in public accounting, with expertise in preparing financial statements and client communication.
- Experience with one or more of the following accounting software:
- QuickBooks
- SAGE50 / SAGE100
- Navision (Microsoft Dynamics)
- ProAlpha
- Datev
- SAP
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Outlook, with working knowledge of MS Word and Adobe software applications.
- Strong time management and prioritization skills, with the ability to efficiently handle multiple tasks.
