Executive Chef

Overview

We are seeking a talented and passionate Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food management and hospitality, with a flair for menu planning and creativity in the kitchen. As a Chef, you will play a crucial role in the overall success of our restaurant, ensuring that every dish served meets our guests’ expectations.

Responsibilities

• Develop and design innovative menus that reflect seasonal ingredients and customer preferences
• Oversee kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation of dishes
• Manage inventory effectively to minimize waste and ensure the availability of fresh ingredients
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in food handling and storage
• Train, mentor, and supervise kitchen staff to maintain high standards of food service
• Collaborate with front-of-house staff to enhance the overall dining experience for guests
• Assist in planning and executing banquet events, ensuring timely service and quality presentation
• Maintain cleanliness and organization within the kitchen area at all times

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Chef or in a similar culinary role within the restaurant industry
• Strong skills in menu planning, food management, and inventory management
• Knowledge of various cooking techniques, cuisines, and presentation styles
• Excellent communication skills with a focus on hospitality and teamwork
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
• Experience in bartending is a plus but not required
• A passion for cooking and creating memorable dining experiences for guests
• Located in Greater Cleveland area or can reliably commute to downtown location
