Job Description

We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and dedicated Examination Officer to join our team at South Hampshire College Group. As an Examination Officer, you’ll play a key role in managing the entry, processing, and maintenance of examination data, ensuring the efficient and accurate operation of examinations across the college. This permanent, full-time role offers a competitive salary of up to £26,924 per annum and provides a range of benefits, including 38 days of annual leave and a pension contribution of up to 27.01% per year.

Your Role as an Examination Officer

As an Examination Officer, you will be responsible for:

  • Managing and processing all examination entries, registrations, and assessment data.

  • Preparing and distributing all necessary paperwork for examinations, including setting up exams with the team.

  • Planning and scheduling formal exams in line with external quality standards.

  • Ensuring that all course/qualification information is accurately recorded in the college systems.

Skills and Experience for the Examination Officer Role

The ideal candidate for the Examination Officer role will have:

  • Experience working with award organizations such as Pearson and City & Guilds.

  • Proven experience with complex database systems and providing accurate data entry solutions.

  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

  • 3-4 GCSEs (or equivalent), including Maths and English at grade C/4 or above.
