Roles and Responsibilities

  • Develops and delivers an instructional program aligned with the goals and objectives of the school division. Ensures the continuous enhancement and effective implementation of instructional strategies through classroom supervision and leadership.
  • Collaborates with school staff and the community to maintain a positive learning environment and promote appropriate student behavior. Utilizes supervisory personnel to enhance instructional effectiveness.
  • Supervises and evaluates school staff performance, establishing personalized improvement plans aligned with the division’s staff development initiatives. Advises Personnel Services on staffing needs and actively participates in the recruitment, employment, promotion, transfer, and dismissal of both licensed and classified personnel.
  • Strengthens home-school communication by facilitating parent-teacher discussions regarding student progress and fostering community involvement in school activities.
  • Manages the school budget, ensuring the efficient use of all available funds in alignment with instructional and administrative goals. Oversees accurate bookkeeping and financial reporting.
  • Provides leadership in policy implementation, ensuring adherence to division and School Board regulations.
  • Stays current with advancements in education by participating in professional development and enrichment opportunities.
  • Performs additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Holds or is eligible for a Postgraduate Professional License with an Administration & Supervision PreK-12 endorsement.
  • Experience in an administrative or leadership role, such as Teacher, Dean, Assistant Principal, or Principal, or an equivalent administrative backgroud.
