What You Bring

Clerical Support: Serve as the primary clerical resource for the unit, handling unit secretary responsibilities such as data entry, record-keeping, and administrative support.

Receptionist Duties: Provide a warm and professional welcome to visitors, patients, and healthcare professionals, ensuring an organized and efficient reception area.

Patient Care Assistance: Work closely with Registered Nurses (RNs) and the healthcare team to assist with patient needs, including transfers, retrieving supplies, and responding to patient requests.

Communication: Facilitate clear and timely communication within the unit, ensuring essential information is relayed efficiently among healthcare team members.

EKG Monitoring: Operate and oversee cardiac rhythm waveforms from a centralized monitoring station, promptly notifying healthcare providers of any detected changes.

Patient Observation: Continuously monitor and document patient vitals, recognizing and reporting any irregularities or abnormalities in EKG waveforms or vital signs.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Completion of an EKG monitoring course
  • Experience working in a hospital setting as a unit clerk, secretary, or monitor technician
  • 1-2 years of relevant EKG monitoring experience
  • Proficiency in age-specific patient care
  • Successful completion of competency exams with a score of 80% or higher
  • Current BCLS certification
