    Job Overview

    Position: Electrical Technician (Night Shift)

    • Shift: 12-hour night shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
    • Schedule: DuPont 2-2-3 rotation
    • Employment: Potential for full-time conversion based on performance
    • Interview Process:
      • Onsite interview (2.5 hours)
      • Facility tour
      • 80-question aptitude test (symbol identification, troubleshooting, and schematic reading)
    • PPE Requirements:
      • Mandatory: Steel-toe boots
      • Provided by Site: Ear, head, and eye protection

    Qualifications:

    • Education: High school diploma or GED
    • Certification: Journeyman certification required
    • Experience: 2-4 years in an industrial environment
    • Preferred: Forklift operation experience

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Ensure compliance with Hazardous Waste procedures and regulatory requirements at local, state, and federal levels.
    • Interpret wiring diagrams, specifications, and instructions to execute scheduled and emergency repairs, installations, and inspections.
    • Analyze electrical drawings and schematics to locate circuits, determine materials needed, and troubleshoot issues efficiently.
    • Plan and execute tasks with safety precautions to minimize operational disruptions.
    • Diagnose and repair electrical systems, motors, generators, control panels, circuit breakers, and electronic devices.
    • Use PLC interfaces to troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues in computer-controlled systems.
    • Perform electrical work on “hot lines” as required.
    • Install, adjust, and repair components such as coils, resistors, rheostats, relays, bus rigging, and distribution feeders.
    • Conduct splicing, wiring, and equipment calibration for both new and existing installations.
    • Maintain and repair advanced electrical components, including inverter drives, SCR units, and programmable controllers.
